Founded in 1999, BMT JFA Consultants are leading experts in providing port related engineering services both internationally and within Australia and have played a key role in a number of developments within Western Australia. When they required a new home for themselves, fellow BMT Group division BMT WBM as well as their close affiliate Bebbcart, they engaged Habitat1.
The brief for the 625m2 fit out in Osborne Park was to create a bright, vibrant and happy work environment with an eco-friendly edge. Proud of its brand, BMT Group’s corporate colours are featured greatly creating a strong identity for the office while pops of contrasting colours introduce an element of fun. The staff breakout zones feature a mix of bar style and soft seating and a writable “Idea Wall” encouraging collaboration, relaxation and creativity.
The use of environmentally sustainable Plywood enhances the casual yet professional atmosphere while EchoPanel, made from 60% recycled materials, not only look great but also help with acoustics. Playing on the “green” approach further, the Dynalite intelligent energy efficient lighting control system harvests natural light and adjusts supplementary lighting accordingly, resulting in optimised environmental performance and minimized operating and maintenance costs.
