Mount Gibson Iron

Mount Gibson Iron is one of Australia’s leading independent producers of high quality direct shipping grade iron ore products, with three operating mines and established port and rail transport solutions throughout Western Australia.

Habitat 1 completed the fitout of Mount Gibson Iron’s new tenancy overlooking Kings Park in September 2012.  Featuring a central light atrium, accentuated by radiating carpet highlights, the fitout featured bold earthy colours and sleek graphics.

In stark contrast to the warm West Australian palette of the main office, the open plan design was offset by a large staff room reminiscent of the cool calm ocean – a retreat from the intensity of the workplace.

Habitat 1 worked closely alongside Mount Gibson Iron to ensure an end result that did not just fulfil the functionality required, but also reflect the company culture and personality, whilst providing a graphic connection back to the environment with which Mount Gibson Iron has such close ties.
